Urgent opening with an FMCG giant in India for Manager - Innovations (New Product Development) About Role: The incumbent will be responsible for supporting the building and execution of the pipeline of new products in 2-3 key categories across all our geographies viz. India, Indonesia &amp; ASEAN, Africa, and Latin America along with the business teams in line with goals. The incumbent will also play a key role in influencing a culture of ideation across the organization. Role Description: - Support delivery of an AOP Innovation Rate (IR) for all BUs in line with top 2-3 FMCG organizations for focus categories - Ensure a healthy pipeline of NPDs over the next 2-3 years along with faster speed to launch cycle - Keep an eye on changing trends across the world that have the potential to be adapted to company's context - Support hunt for new technologies and products from across the world (Global universities/bodies, start-ups, etc.) which could be disrupting - Independently work with vendor partners and sourcing teams for scouting and developing prototypes other than the pipeline - Write concepts and drive successful field trials for multiple prototypes to ensure movement to A CUT stage along with RIDE teams : - Drive CUT/BASES while refining final NPD concepts along with CMI/Marketing teams - Track, communicate and develop work plans to ensure commercial viability and post-launch product sustainability - Follow the Innovation Stage-Gate process and ensure the approval and alignment of Innovation Council on the NPD pipeline - Develop white space thinking on new categories and possible entry options - Drive ideation ingrained in strategy for each of the categories to refresh NPD pipeline every year Skills required: - High level of energy and a can-do attitude - Excellent concept writing, communication and presentation skills - Project management skills and ability to navigate cross-functional teams smoothly - Strong business and marketing understanding - Analytical reasoning and understanding of HH Panel, Nielsen Audit, CUT data, etc. - Entrepreneurship and resourcefulness Education and Experience: - MBA from a premier institute with 4-5 years of experience of which 2+ years in Marketing in FMCG and/or Strategy/ Consulting - Experience in Innovation / NPD launches will be preferred
