CA with 5+ years of experience in Indirect Taxation with Compliance & Litigation experience Manager Indirect Taxation Job Title Taxation (Part of FSS at Bangalore) Vertical - BSS/FSS Manager Tax Compliance and Litigation Job Function /Sub Function - PAN India TDS finalization, payment of taxes and filing of return - Coordinating TDS certificate and Recos - Handing IT dept. notices on TDS with assistance of Corporate Tax - Custom duty payments and import formalities including IGST - PAN India GST Credit reconciliation and dealing with credit mismatches - Working with GST compliance Team - Accounting relating HO GST credit - HO GST credit avalement &amp; Reco - Managing RCM on Import of Service. Job Objective Job Responsibilities Compliance a) Filing of Monthly, Periodic and Annual Returns under GST and Income Tax b) Payment of taxes as per due dates for all legislation c) Filing of TDS Returns where applicable and payment of recovered taxes (Income tax) d) Verification of agreements signed with various stakeholders for completeness and documentation e) Maintenance of TDS and GST registrations, updation etc f) Response to information queries of Tax Department at HO on IT and Indirect Taxes g) Development and maintenance of accessible records management system h) Maintenance of tax database and review of status Front Line Defense a) Handling Audit queries of all authorities like CAG, CRA and Local Vigilance and Ant-Evasion Cells b) Reply to SCNs at first stage and forwarding the same for items pertaining to HO Bangalore c) Discussion with service Providers on compliance with law d) Handling of Appeal hearings below Rs 5 MN (Tax demand) e) Dealing Tax points in IGAAP, US GAAP and Compliance Audits f) Bank Guarantees issue for tax points and maintenance g) Tax implication analysis on RFA and its compliance (e.g. Write off of Stocks and reversal of credits) h) Recommendation to HO Tax on issues to be contested i) Handling relevant TLMS data and reporting Internal: - Other sub functions in FSS/BSS - Zonal Finance and Taxation - Commercial and procurement department - Zonal Finance managers at units/plants/region - HO Tax Cell External: - Tax consultants - Lawyers - Law Firm - Regulatory Authorities Key Customer Internal /External Customers: Job Requirement CA, ICWA , or BL with experience in a comparable system with edge on Compliance &amp; Litigation. Minimum Education: 4 to 8 years of experience in Indirect taxation function in a mid-sized manufacturing company having manufacturing and sales activities in different states preferably FMCG. Added experience in Direct taxes and in a shared services environment will be an advantage. Minimum Work Experience: Understanding of FMCG sales and distribution and statutory compliances in GST for taxation purpose Critical Experiences/Exposure Required: 1.
