Description : Manager - Indirect Tax role in a leading multinational company in the FMCG sector

Client Details :

Our client is a US-based personal care FMCG company with a global presence in more than 100 countries. Part of the S&P 500 and with over 50,000 employees globally, the company is a global leader in its line of products and they have aggressive growth plans for India. Our Client is currently looking for an Indirect Tax Manager to handle end to end responsibilities of the domain.

Job Description :

Reporting into the CFO, your responsibilities would include :

- One point of contact on all indirect taxes related to company

- Responsible for Excise, VAT, Service tax, CST, and customs

- Procedural and legal compliance relating to various indirect tax legislation

- Supporting the CFO on indirect tax matters

- Accounting hygiene and review of schedules pertaining to indirect taxes

- Working closely with consultants pertaining on matters related to indirect taxes as they relate to the company

- Actively participating in initiatives which result from changes in process or changes in environment in the area of indirect taxes

- Working closely with building preparedness for the company's position in the event of any proceedings, litigation or such association

- Completion of Excise and VAT Audits

Profile :

- The successful applicant is a qualified Chartered Accountant with a minimum of 5-7 years experience in the Indirect Tax domain in a manufacturing set-up. Candidates working in FMCG, FMCD, Pharma would be preferred.

- You have handled a team for the past 5 years. You are currently handling all indirect tax matters pertaining to Excise, VAT, Service tax, CST, and customs at the corporate level.
