Job Description:
- The Hygiene & Quality Assurance Manager will develop and manage Hygiene & Quality Assurance programs and activities that will ensure compliance with company policies, food safety standards, government regulations, and industry best practices including GMP and HACCP. The QA Manager will integrate quality assurance and quality control into all functions and people.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities:
- Bachelor's / Masters degree in food technology or Food Sciences.
- Certification and training in Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP)
- Excellent knowledge of HACCP and the proven ability to write HACCP plans
- 8 + years' experience in Quality Systems Management, Food Safety Management System, TQM and process improvement concepts.
- Experience working with a food or beverage industry preferably Air catering unit or Five Star reputed Hotel
- Demonstrated experience in development and implementation of Quality Management System, Food Safety Management System, internal and external audits, vendor development, implementing HACCP, ISO 9001/22000 and quality system design and remediation.
- To have thorough understanding of regulatory norms for food & food products
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be well versed with applicable regulatory requirements i.e. FSSAI. Must ensure that unit at all times comply to the regulatory requirements
- Excellent knowledge of food microbiology, testing methods, interpretation of microbiology results and accordingly formulating the corrective action
