HR- Manager (Listed company; manufacturing)
Key Responsibilities:
- Identifying the division's priorities and challenges from business plans and translating them into improved HR strategies and organizational initiatives
- Serve as a link between management and associates
- Provide proactive consultation and direction to management in areas of employee relations, performance management, training and development, and overall organizational effectiveness
- Champions labor relations and human resource inquiries related to policies & procedures,
- Analyze and propose changes as needed to local plant policies and procedures to establish competitive programs and ensure compliance with legal requirements
- Perform complex staffing duties, including dealing with understaffing, mediating disputes, associate separations, and administering disciplinary procedures
- Plan and conduct onboarding activities for key positions
- Identify staff vacancies, partner with management for proactive workforce planning, and recruit, interview and select applicants
- Manage employment, compensation, benefits, safety and employee relations
- Strategize training activities for the plant
- Administer compensation, benefits and performance management systems
- Supervise associate performance by setting goals and conducting periodic review of progress towards attainment
- Lead reporting on department activities and initiatives while tracking progress to Leadership
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years combined experience in Human Resources, Employee Relations, and Training
- Minimum 2 years human resources experience in a manufacturing environment
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
- Excellent teamwork, collaboration and communication skills (oral and written)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Be self-directed and motivated individual with high integrity
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
