Job Description :

Position Summary :

- As an integral member of the global HR team and the India Leadership Team, the HR Manager is responsible for ensuring the key HR services and consultancy are delivered across India. The HR Manager consults with business leaders to identify and solve key issues to recruit, develop and retain top India talent. Additionally, the HR Manager will own and/or contribute toward global HR initiatives as assigned.

- The HR Manager typically reports to the APAC HR Director and has as key stakeholders the global HR team, regional directors, managing consultants and regional finance team members.

Responsibilities :

Consulting :

- Engages employees and managers on a regular basis to proactively identify and address strategic business issues consistent with the global HR strategy and overall India business plan.

- Develops action plans in response to business issues identified and employee survey results to attract, retain and develop the people required to meet the business objectives of the company.

- Develops & executes internal communication plans in support of change initiatives. Acts as a conduit to encourage the sharing of ideas and best practice between offices regionally and globally.

- Supports conflict resolution among teams. Advises managers concerning underperforming employees and reviews/approves all performance improvement plans. Consults on all proposed employee terminations and redundancies to minimize risk and be respectful to individuals. Investigates harassment allegations and prepares recommendations and action plans.

Policies, Programs & Compliance :

- Accountable for minimizing risk across the business as it relates to people issues and ensures legal compliance in all markets for which responsible. Develops & implements regional policies & guidelines and manages related HR budgets. Implements global policies & programs. Drafts and/or reviews standard independent contractor agreements, offer letters, transfer offers, and separation agreements. Partners with external legal counsel to obtain & maintain employment visas for international transfers.

Compensation : Participates in salary surveys where available. Analyzes & makes recommendations to salary ranges were data available. Consults managers on compensation issues.

Benefits:

- Leads the overall benefits strategy for assigned markets and recommends changes to address changing business conditions. Is the primary broker contact where applicable. Answers day-to-day benefit issues/questions from employees.

Recruiting & Resource Management :

- Identifies recruitment strategies for open positions. Ensures a current openings list for the region is maintained. Participates in succession planning discussions.

- Develops and maintains recruitment programs and collaterals including employment advertising.

- Engages as the liaison between external vendors and hiring managers as needed to effectively source passive candidates regionally and keeps candidate communications on track, leveraging candidates across multiple markets as appropriate. Completes short phone screens, arranges interviews with hiring managers and negotiates employment offers. Actively participates in workforce planning with local and regional management teams including the forecast of hiring needs, transfers, pending promotions, terms, PIPs, etc.

- Develops job descriptions for new positions or updated roles in partnership with managers. Consults managers when non-standard offer letter and contract terms are desired.

1. Planning : Partners with the India Managing Director and Global HR team to develop regional & global people priorities and budgets.

2. Training : Delivers relevant Text Life training during regional travel. Trains individuals in key people practices such as interviewing skills, performance management, induction and manager responsibilities.

3. Induction : Deliver new hire induction on country-specific policies and benefits and facilitate

3. Out Processing : Conducts exit interviews. Manages internal communications when special arrangements are required. Distributes leavers packets to departing employees.

Ad hoc reporting : Generates employee data required for new biz credentials, internal reporting and/or Best Companies submissions.

5. Other : Leads and/or regularly contributes toward the completion of regional and global projects as assigned. Other duties as assigned.

- Supports more senior team members in the implementation and delivery of relevant and comprehensive project plans in support of the operational plan (may be regional or global)

- Is adept at performing reactive operational tactics. With support from others may create proactive project plans with an emphasis on achieving results

- Maintains a network within industry bodies, associations and groups in the area of expertise to keep abreast of industry news and trends. Flags critical new information with others and recommends actions

Minimum Qualifications :

- Minimum bachelor's degree in HR Management or equivalent relevant work experience; master's degree preferred.

- Progressively responsible HR work experience ideally in a generalist role gained within a professional services environment.

- Excellent knowledge of employment legislation principles for home country. May not know all relevant country legislation for the assigned region, but knows where to source information and what questions to ask. Has a solid understanding of the fundament principles of employment law.

- Experience in managing organizational change - start up, restructuring, downsizing.

- Excellent knowledge of the principles of HR best practices and trends.

- Demonstrates a passion to engage in technology for business solutions and personal effects including a basic proficiency with Word, Excel and PowerPoint software applications. Has an overall propensity to use technology as a tool in the day-to-day deployment of HR practices desired.

- Able to travel domestically and internationally to other Text 100 offices and business events.

- Able to regularly work a flexible schedule that will facilitate calls with team members in international time zones.
