HR Manager

Job Summary :

- Responsible for providing a comprehensive generalist HR function to the business across India. In partnership with the GM and Leadership Team, support the execution and achievement of business objectives through the development and implementation of HR strategy aligned with company's overall strategy.

Job Description :

- Direct a variety of human resource-related polices, practices and initiatives/programmes to ensure that India's current and future human resource requirements are met.

- Ensure best fit right talent employees are recruited, managed, organized, trained, evaluated and rewarded in accordance with organisation's human resource strategy aligned with company's overall strategy.

- These policies, practices and initiatives/programmes, subject to HR delegation of authority and approval matrix, may include: recruitment; learning and development; compensation/remuneration; benefits; performance evaluation; organizational development; relocation; equal employment/affirmative action; health, safety and employee wellness; human resources administration; human resource information systems; payroll; employee communications; employment/industrial/labour relations.

- Work closely with GM and in consultation with Regional HR team to develop and implement local human resource strategies where applicable and appropriate for India's business needs, but consistent with the organization's and overall human resource strategy.

- Evaluate India's future workforce needs in order to recommend changes to the organization's human resource strategy and adapt existing current human resource programmes to meet these needs.

- Active participation in India's human resource budget review and planning process. Responsible for the organization's human resource-related approved budget and spent including the organization's employment and HR department operational cost.

- Lead, direct, evaluate and develop Human Resource Administrator to ensure India's human resource strategy is implemented effectively and within established budgets and that the organization complies with all relevant regulations, laws and employment standards.

Job Requirements :

- Strong human resource management background.

- A self-starter, resourceful, independent as well as in team player.

- Minimum 8 years experience in general human resources with at least 3 years of supervisory experience in a multi-cultural environment.

- Good university degree and a postgraduate qualification in human resources preferred.

Job Challenges :

- Strong knowledge of best-in-class HR practices.

- In-depth knowledge of employment law and regulations across the industry.

- Increase/ enhance HR service delivery level - quick turnaround time and services to customers.

- Ability to relate to both management and employees at all levels - both employees and company advocate (to meet the business requirements, whilst addressing employees- needs).

- To be a change agent by driving improvement activities (with respect to time, project cost and solutions quality).
