HR Operations Manager has develop, recommend and administer approved policies and procedures in human resources, employee relations and related issues that are consistent with strategic plans and objectives.

To ensure all payrolls related functions are carried out efficiently in accordance with company policies, procedures and work practices. To meet all statutory compliance requirements as dictated by various governing bodies.

Key responsibilities :

Payroll :

- Maintain complete employee records.

- Process payroll on time and ensure accurate cost allocations.

- Monthly reports, journals and statutory returns such as Payroll Tax, PAYG, Superannuation, Workers compensation etc.

- General enquiries and inquiry resolution.

- Provide cost analysis and wages information as required for budgetary purposes.

Human Resources :

- Industrial Relations (IR) - effectively manage IR and any IR issues that arise.

- Facilitate EBA negotiation process, compliance with enterprise agreements and relevant legislation.

- Recruitment and selection - effectively manage and/or coordinate the process by ensuring cost effective and high quality service.

- Coach or train all managers in best practice recruitment process.

- Ensure all remuneration and benefits issues are assessed and in line with salary bands.

- Delivery of induction program for all new employees.

- Administer company superannuation fund to ensure legislative compliance.

- Learning and development - ensure appropriate learning and development activities are in place that are consistent with the company strategy, policies and procedures.

- Ensure that development programs are in line with each department's needs and objectives and within budget.

- Ensure training expenses are monitored and training records are effectively maintained.

- Performance Management - develop and support a performance culture and play a significant role in managing the performance review process.

- Develop and review the performance appraisal system, succession planning and administering reward, recognition and compensation plans including bonuses, wages proposal and salary review recommendations.

- General HR - ensure the quality and direction of human resources is aligned to company strategy and objectives.

- Develop and manage company policies and procedures.

- Return to work - in collaboration with the Safety Manager, effectively manage return to work and rehabilitation plans for injured workers in accordance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures.

Competencies required :

- Demonstrated payroll management experience.

- Demonstrated HR management experience.

- Application and interpretation of awards, acts, legislation and compliance requirements within HR and payroll.

- Demonstrated team leadership ability.

- Ability to create, review and supply policies and procedures.

- Customer service focus.

- Strong interpersonal skills.

- Presentation skills.
