Position Description: Play a pivotal role in employee engagement; create tools and programs that integrate, grow and retain employees within RR Donnelley, spearhead changes in systems and processes by adapting industry employee related best practices, facilitate vertical and lateral career growth paths for employees. Create, mentor and lead an effective team. Build and maintain effective relationships with internal clients. Be prepared to innovate and actively seek out-of-the-box solutions to redesign and strengthen the company's human resources systems to allow benchmarking.

Essential Qualifications: MBA or Post Graduate in Human Resources

Technical Qualifications: Technical Know-how of MS Office Suite

Experience: Minimum of 6 years of work experience, of which at least 5 years in a supervisory role Managed a team of at least 2-3 people and worked in an ITES background with a lot of work pressure.

Organization Structure: Report to the Assistant Vice President

Work Schedule: Required to work in flexible schedule during day, night and weekend shifts

Focus Area Description :

- Employee Engagement and Retention 


- Plan and conduct monthly welfare events for teams to include cultural, community service, sports, intellectual, etc.

- Responsible for R&R in the division

- Roll out various programs targeting employee retention / engagement etc., e.g. New Joiners Surveys, Employee Satisfaction Survey

- Identifying employees who are at risk and ensure recommendations are made to manage attrition

- Conduct exit interviews and report findings to HOD and Corporate HR

- Organise forums, working groups, seminars, road shows, training sessions, and other information-sharing activities involving staff

- Create custom interventions by leveraging business insights and using support from HR CoEs

Employee Communication:

- Prepare appropriate communication materials inline with the corporate communication policy

- Manage communication through the Intranet along with other Business Partners

- Create tools and programs that integrate, grow and retain employees within the vertical

- Manage the dispute resolution process within the vertical

- Conduct open houses, skip level meetings with the Managers / employees to understand the issues/concerns

- Conduct shift meetings on a monthly basis to ensure HR issues are addressed

- Ensure timely & appropriate dissemination of all employee communication

- Responsible for timely closure of these issues

Policy Implementation:

- Implement HR Policies & special initiatives rolled out by Corporate HR for the vertical

- Ensure compliance with the firm's policies and practices

- Provide changes and feedback to the Corporate HR policies as required

Compensation and Benefits - Provide input from a compensation perspective for salary increases or promotions recommended to Corporate HR

- Keep track of market information with regard to changes in salary levels

Performance Management:

- Implement the Performance Management Process within the vertical

- Ensure all employees have their goals set within one month of joining the firm

- Ensure employees receive their confirmation letters on time

- Responsible for the PSC for all employees in the division

- Maintain team PSCs on a monthly basis

- Responsible for managing the PIP process for employees

- Ensure regular feedback, completion of appraisals within stipulated timelines

- Ensure all employees have time bound Career Development Plans

- Manage the transfer and promotion process for vertical

- Responsible for managing the internal job postings process

- Assist the HOD in succession planning, defining career paths for critical employees

Training and Development:

- Coordinate with Training to ensure personal development plans are in place to provide necessary inputs and training

- Ensure training calendar in place for all employees that is tied in to their development plan

Query Management :


- Provide primary support for all HR related queries regarding policies, programs, processes, etc.

- Direct all queries to the appropriate point of contact within Corporate HR for resolutions/clarifications

- Resolve all queries within the stipulated SLAs agreed by corporate HR
