Manager - Health Saftey & Environment - Commercial Buildings & Projects

Liaisoning with Local authorities like Police, Fire service, Factory inspectors etc.

- Planning for EHS activities.

- Planning for EHS budget.

- Carrying out Fire risk assessment (FRA) and providing control measures against it.

- Update weekly, monthly, Quarterly & Annual report & Submit.- Accident investigation and implementing recommendation of same, sharing lessons.

- Support site management to adopt/implement Corporate EHS standards, Recommended Practices, programs, procedures.

- Identify, prepare, review, update, initiate change Control, follow up for approval and effecting of EHS related SOPs and Standards.

- Conduct training on EHS policies, standards, SOPs, safety orientation and field round of new Hires and related assessments/documentations.

- Facilitate formation of safety committees, EHS council and be a catalyst and adviser for the smooth operations of the committees, their meetings and deliberations.

- Ensure holding of periodic meetings of the safety Committee meetings, to prepare, receive. Circulate /display agendas, meetings, action plans.

- Investigate accidents, near misses, dangerous occurrences, and occupational diseases and recommend action plans for prevention.

- Review periodically the emergency preparedness plan and conduct periodic and co ordinate Mock trials for evacuation procedures.

- Conduct safety audits/inspections, to identify job hazards, unsafe conditions and co- ordinate with operating department the rectification thereof.

- Organize safety events, contests, competitions, safety day, display posters, articles, notices poster, safety week and other programs for propagating safety awareness and safety culture.- Send periodic reports to Management on Statutory compliance of EHS related legislation.

- Ensure compliance with safety, environment and health related legislation and to maintain appropriate records thereof.

- Co-ordinate with Engineering and other operating dept for Operation readiness report for starting new processes/equipments.

- Co-ordinate preparedness for EHS audit, attend to audit and ensure compliance with audit points.

- Inspect and issue Work permits for Hot work/confined space entry/Working at heights permits

- To conduct and coordinate hazard assessment, Job safety analysis, and identify proper PPEs to prevent the hazards.

- Liaison with Fire dept for timely support in case of emergencies.

- Ensure compilation of MSDSs and maintain an updated list of MSDS for all chemical/hazardous material used/stored at the Buildings.

- Coordinate with other departments the logistics for visit of Corporate are EHS personnel/auditors

- Circulate safety alerts received from other sites.

- Ensure timely servicing of fire fighting equipments/ extinguishers and co ordinate with Engineering dept for ensuring readiness of fire prevention /suppression/detection systems.

- Ensuring fire suppression, fighting and detection system is working 24- 7.

- Testing maintenance of fire detection and suppression system.- Ensuring Fire officers and firemen are on duty in shift round o clock.

- Organizing/Conducting quarterly Evacuation mock drill, Fire warden & Occupants training for all offices.

Educational Qualification:-

Graduate with OHSAS 18001 / NEBOSH / Industrial Safety diploma
