DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Senior level experience requiring a broader level of responsibility. Responsible for the implementation and Administration of company Human Resources policies and programs in a plant or distribution facility(s).

- Responsibilities may include employee selection and placement; training; wage, salary and benefits Administration; equal employment opportunity and affirmative action; employee and labor relations; employee services; and health and safety.

Objective of this position :

- Assists Director, Human resources in planning, development, implementation and evaluation activities. Responsible for managing several human resource functions such as employment staffing, labor relations, compensation, training, equal employment/affirmative action, safety and health and employee relations. Position usually located at a corporate location.

Job Description :

- The basic function of the position is to recruit, select, develop, train and maintain a competent motivated work force necessary to support and maintain production in the plant . Corporate personnel policies and procedures are to be executed in such a manner that will insure high employee morale.

Principal Accountabilities :

This position is responsible for the Human Resource Department.

Responsibilities include :

- To initiate proactive labor and employee relations activities to maintain smooth industrial relations in the plant and responsible all aspects of employee and labor relations.

- Selection and hiring of capable employees to meet business requirements.

- Supports all safety, quality and operational initiatives, both within the Human Resource Department and the entire facility. Ensures a safe working environment in the plant by holding supervisors accountable for compliance with all safety policies and procedures, prompt accident investigations, and corrections and closures of identified safety issues. Promotes continuous improvement in safety and environmental.

- Review plant goals and objectives and establishes department staffing and financial budget during the annual planning process.

- Adheres to plant and corporate integrity requirements.

Person Specification :

- Masters in Business Administration from Reputed institute/ organization

- 15-20 years experience of working in a manufacturing Unit.

Strong Industrial Relation skills and must have experience working in a Unionized environment.

- Fluency in local language both written & Oral is essential.

- Credibility to inspire others when promoting change.

- Strong communication and presentational skills.

- Ability to build effective working relationships
