Role Summary :
This role will support the work of the Growth & Partnerships team by identifying potential donors and fundraising opportunities for our programs through cold calls, emails, in-person meetings, events and conferences, and by maintaining excellent relationships with our funders.

Reporting to: Senior Manager, LSEP
Key Responsibilities :
Business Development & Relationship Management:
- Identifying potential funding opportunities and building a strong pipeline of relevant and interested partners through internet research
- Reaching out to the pipeline of partners through cold calling, cold emailing, conferences/events, and seeking and setting up meetings to further the dialogue
- Studying requests for proposal (RFPs) and preparing customized proposals by gathering information and data, writing, revising, editing, and formatting drafts; obtaining approvals; and ensuring their timely submission
- Traveling to various cities to attend meets/events/conferences to interact with CSR funding organisations, High Net-Worth Individuals (HNIs), philanthropists, NGOs, government officials, etc.
- Proactively engaging with potential funders / CSR bodies, building relationships, maintaining personal networks, and being a self-starter for creating new projects and relationships
Knowledge Building :
- Developing, maintaining, and updating knowledge of the organization and the education ecosystem in India by proactively participating in educational opportunities and one's own learning and development
Proposal Writing :
- Writing customized proposals and support material, including material for fundraising in general, e.g. 1- pagers and slide decks
- Identifying grant funding opportunities and end-to-end anchoring of the grant application process
Desired Experience, Skills, and Attitude :
- Excellent reading and persuasive writing communication skills in English
- Expertise in PowerPoint / creating slide decks, formatting and editing in MS-Word, and proficiency in MS- Excel
- Excellent proposal writing, presentation, and oral communication skills
- Ability to effectively communicate the organization's mission, vision, and theory of change to funders / potential leads
- Very strong relationship building skills, interpersonal, persuasive and negotiation skills
- Ability to take leadership in ambiguous situations, even when unsupervised
- Forward looking thinker, who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions
- Demonstrated honesty, integrity, and emotional maturity
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Adaptive to new tools and technology
Education: Graduate/PG in any discipline from a Tier-1/Tier-2 college, Any Fellowship experience is a plus
