JOB DESCRIPTION Principal role: Lead all India General Ledger monthly closing activities in accordance with the close calendar. Must be familiar with the close process in an ERP environment - preferably Oracle R12, including managing the close schedules, supervising the GL team members, ensuring effective internal controls are been adhered to. Collaborate closely with Corporate accounting teams and work across different functions and stakeholders to see through the monthly accounting close, ensuring all critical accounting matters are appropriately identified and dealt with. Ideal candidates should meet these criteria - Prior manufacturing industry experience in a multinational company is preferred: - Semiconductor industry knowledge is a plus. - Initial years spent in CPA firms or Chartered Accountants would be advantageous. - Possess intermediate to advanced level of accounting skills - Experience in transitioning of GL activities to India and leading a team of 5-10 accountants for at least 3 years. - Led General Ledger - Coordinate and manage the annual statutory audits, dealing with the Auditors and ensure timely completion of the annual audit process - Familiar with close process in an ERP environment - preferably Oracle R12, supervising the GL team members, and ensuring accurate accounting entries are posted - Familiar with preparation/review of monthly financial statements and monthly/quarterly corporate reporting - Work level understanding of effective internal controls and SOX or ADAA compliance experience is advantageous - Knowledge of IFRS standards - Show good communication skills, speak fluently and is easily understood in an international environment - Demonstrated ability to work across borders, cutting through different work cultures Job description - Lead all India General Ledger monthly closing activities in accordance with the close calendar. These include analysis of accounts and preparation/review and investigation of monthly accounts reconciliations. - Prepare/review monthly financial statements and monthly/quarterly corporate reporting in a timely and accurate manner for corporate &amp; local statutory reporting, consistent with IFRS, and Global foundries accounting policies and India GAAP (where applicable). - Coordinate and manage the annual statutory audits, dealing with the Auditors and ensure timely completion of the annual audit process. - Support internal audits to ensure record keeping and sound corporate governance are maintained, in accordance with the requirements of auditors and government agencies/Regulatory bodies - Responsible for timely delivery of regulatory reporting (ie. SOFTEX filings, certifications, various tax filing etc) and statistical surveys. - On an ad-hoc basis, support technical accounting projects EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Education - Degree in Accounting/Business/Finance or Equivalent Professional Qualifications (e.g. CA) Experience - 7-10 years of work experience with at least 2-3 years in a managerial capacity, preferably in a multi-national manufacturing company or shared service center supporting manufacturing companies. - Oracle R12 ERP work knowledge is a plus Other Essential Attributes: - Strong leadership skills with the ability to communicate, lead a newly set-up team and drive necessary changes for process improvements - Good interpersonal skills, ability to work across functions, across borders and across cultures in a global company, and interact with all hierarchy in the organization. - Speak English with clarity and good writing skills - Some amount of traveling might be required
