POSITION - Manager - General Ledger Accounting

OVERVIEW OF FUNCTION/BUSINESS

- Finance Shared Services, India performs accounting functions such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivables, General Ledger Accounting & Audit for Saint-Gobain Group Companies in India operating from two locations - Mumbai and Chennai.

The clientele includes Grindwell Norton, Saint-Gobain Sekurit India and Saint-Gobain India Pvt Ltd - (which includes the businesses of Glass, Gyproc, Sekurit, SEPR, Weber, and Saint Gobain Research.

JOB DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES

1. General ledger accounting, analysis, month closing and reporting under IFRS standards for one or more businesses.

2. Experience in Accounts finalisation, preparation of statutory financials under IND AS and managing Statutory / Tax audit.

3. Compliance with respect to direct / indirect taxation and other statutes.

4. Drive improvement projects for standardizing, simplifying and automation of FSSC General Ledger Accounting activities.

5. Adherence to internal controls in General Ledger Accounting activities as per company policies.

DESIRED CANDIDATE PROFILE

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION - CA/CWA

MINIMUM YEARS OF EXP - 5-8 years of experience

NATURE OF EXPERIENCE

1. Advanced knowledge of General ledger accounting under IND AS and IFRS

2. Basic Knowledge of Direct and Indirect Taxation

3. In depth knowledge of SAP and Excel.

4. Independent handling of monthly closures, statutory & tax audit
