Job Description

As part of our ongoing functional transformation initiative as created an India Centre of Technical Accounting, based at the Pune facility in India.

The COTA drives best business practice in our finance organization and will work directly with our internal customers to ensure a first class service is delivered. This is achieved by:

- Center of Excellence providing General Accounting, Close the Books, Payables, Cash Applications & Credit, Treasury, Payroll and Travel & ESS services to the business.

- Ensuring compliance of the CPS Model and ACS Accounting Policies

- Support the implementation of new business, systems and processes into the COTA

- Acting as a vehicle to deliver new systems and processes

- Managing process performance to drive continuous improvement through metric based scorecards

The General Accounting function will oversee and ensure compliance of the HBT close process and deliver key metrics and analysis.

Responsibilities

- This position owns the timely and correct preparation and compilation of Entity Financial Statements from all aspects.

- Legal Entity of India with multiple SBG presence and gross revenue of 25 MUSD. 

- This position also ensures financial closure of the entities on monthly basis in a timely and accurate manner as per Accounting Policies and Procedures, maintain the books of accounts as per US and Indian GAAP, plan, co-ordinate and execute Statutory, Internal and Corporate/ SOX Audits in close co-ordination with Entity Controllers & Business Cross functional teams. They act as a single point of contact for information and analytical support to Business CFO & Controllership. Drive compliance of SBU policies, maintain SAP - HFM data consistency and US - India GAAP Reconciliations.

- Previous experience in same field like month end closing, consolidation of accounts, preparation of MIS, handling audits, preparation of budgets is desired.

- Experience in working in a multi-national environment is a plus.

- Preferably conversant with SAP and HFM accounting package.

- Excellent command over MS Office, especially Excel.

- Working knowledge of Direct and Indirect taxation, Indian Companies Act, SOX Act required.

- Expert knowledge of India GAAP and working knowledge of US GAAP is a must.

Skills Required/Sought

- Sound knowledge of Accounting, Monthly Closing process, working on Internal/External Audits.

- Lead and take initiative in doing work independently.

- Process orientated with excellent problem solving skills

- Good team member

- Experience in large multinational environment.

- Knowledge of SAP and HFM will be added advantage.

- Knowledge of Accounting Standards, US GAAP and IGAAP preferred.

- Strong, proven Customer / Service orientation mindset

- Ability to multi task at different levels and work on simultaneously on multiple priorities.
