SAP Solution Manager Application Senior Consultant

SAP Solution Manager skills:

- 8 to 10 years of experience in SAP Solution Manager application consulting experience.

- At least 2 full SAP life-cycle implementation projects (from Blueprint/Explore through Go-Live) for SAP Solution Manager 7.2.

- Understands SAP Activate Methodology.

- Must have good working experience on Solman system Admin and Monitoring, Remote Supportability, Solution Manager Work Centers

- Good knowledge and hands on experience of SAP Solution Manager

- Process Management and SAP Solution manager Focused Build for solution documentation (as KM tool)

- Application Lifecycle Management (ALM)

- Based dashboards for focused insights.

- Test Management tool

- Build management.

- Source code control

- DevOps tool

- Content management for training material in Solution Manager

- Focused Build for project & release management.

- Business Process Monitoring

- Root Cause Analysis

- Alerting and Monitoring.

- Configuration of Solution Manager Road Maps

- Managed system configuration, System Preparation, Technical Monitoring

- Implementation & Maintenance of ChARM

- EWA Configuration, SOS Configuration, Wily Introscope installation

- Resolving production issues in Solution Documentation, Test Suite and BPCA

- Preparation of release calendar for the upcoming years and Facilitate CAB meeting to approve the Change requests for production post-Release

- Check and resolve the dependency on each CHARM document Monitoring and Troubleshooting - background jobs.

- Deploying approved transports request into production by weekly and monthly release window

- Good knowledge of Linux/Windows and SAP HANA Database


- Responsible for the analysis, design, customization, and operations of SAP Solution Manager implementations. Not only the pure technical usage, also implementing the SolMan Solutions.

- Should be able to handle end to end Solution Manager implementation.

- Should be able to handle end to end Solution Manager Technical monitoring implementation.

- Should be able to handle end to end Solution Manager Focused Build, Focused Insight, Operation Control Center configurations.

-Interacts with the SAP functional & technical consultants, to understand the issues and provide solutions with seamless coordination.


- Preferred to have below certificates.

- SAP Solution Manager Application Consultant

- SAP Certified Technology Associate -SAP Solution Manager, Mandatory and Managed System configuration.

Business Skills:

- Excellent oral and written communication skills, the ability to communicate with others clearly and concisely.

- Experience with Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.

- Understands business processes for focus area or multiple modules.

- Ability to do research and perform detailed tasks.

- Strong analytical skills.

- Understands business functionality related to SAP module/application as well as can identify and understand touch points between modules.

- Understands how to solve detailed SAP problems.

- Understands and can explain best business practices, especially those that SAP enables.

- Understands detailed business functionality related directly and indirectly to SAP project.

- Apply best business practices, especially those that SAP enables to meet client needs.

Consulting Skills:

- Aptitude for working in a team environment; problem solving skills, creative thinking, communicating clearly and empathetically, strong time management and ability to collaborate with all levels of staff.

- Ability to explain ideas and concepts to other project team members and to client personnel.

- Has a solid foundation for consulting "soft" skills necessary on client engagements, may act as a coach for others related to these soft skills.

- Ability to interpret requirements and apply SAP best practices.

- Ability to identify upsell opportunities and assist in management of scope.

- Develop new professional peer relationships for additional business or possible new consultants.

- Helps develop overall marketing messages.

- Communicates project resource requirements to staffing coordinator/clients.

- Ensures quality implementation (works with QA program)

- May participate in Pre-Sales as part of the client pursuit team.
