Job Description of Manager Financial Reporting & Analysis - (FR&A) Overview We are a fast-growing seed funded startup currently in stealth mode We are a D2C ecommerce aggregator This is a unique platform where a financial professional will get a flavor of Analytics, business and rapid acquisitions and build the organization from the ground up. With the initial aim to outsource transaction work, this position has an opportunity to work on structures, process, and M&A. Leadership Team: It consists of well-established professionals from Bain, McKinsey, etc.. Location: Gurugram Role: Will be part of the finance team reporting into Finance Controller. The Manager FR&A will provide accurate, insightful, and timely reports to the management and will: - Lead preparation of the internal weekly, monthly & quarterly financial presentations that includes key financial insights & KPIs. - Oversee the preparation of analysis, commentary and presentation material for financial reviews with senior management. - Support the Finance Controller and Business Finance Team on annual planning and monthly forecasting and budgeting processes including on-going financial forecasts and long-term plans. - Conduct variance analysis to provide deep insight on the reasons with commentary. - Contribute in the company-wide strategic planning process to establish financial targets and key business assumptions while developing thoughtful methodologies and applying financial rigor throughout the process. - Prepare investment reporting packs as per the need of respective investors and provide explanation to their queries. - Utilize current documentation and tools/methodologies and recommend new solutions to improve/automate existing and new processes and support new initiatives. - Develop and maintain process documentation, own documentation repository. - Produce and/or enhance internal management reporting and analyses both on a regularly scheduled and ad-hoc basis. - Support Accounts team on accounting and support monthly accounting close activities, provide required information for cost allocation entries by department, calculate monthly accruals, provide information required for cost capitalization. Background & Experience: - Chartered Accountant with 3 to 4 years of experience in FR&A. - Candidates with experience in working with Internet, E-Commerce or other complex businesses will be preferred. - Excellent relationship management skills with ability to deal effectively with all levels of management. - Quick learner with the ability to identify and drive changes to get more efficient and accurate. - Strong logical and analytical skills.
