Manager - Financial Planning & Analysis - Aviation Industry


Responsibilities:

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):

- Develop and continually enhance financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.

- Analyze financial metrics and business performance to provide strategic insights and support FP&A reporting requirements.

Business Planning & Analysis (BP&A):

- Collaborate directly with business units to understand their operational objectives and integrate these into the financial plans.

- Perform detailed variance analysis to compare actual financial performance against planned targets and identify actionable insights for business improvement.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

- Engage with department heads to gather input for the budgeting process and ensure comprehensive financial planning.

- Monitor financial forecasts regularly, adjusting predictions as needed to keep them aligned with dynamic business goals.

Financial Reporting and Compliance:

- Prepare detailed financial statements and reports that summarize the company's financial status.

- Ensure strict compliance with financial regulations and standards, particularly focusing on SEC requirements and effective MIS reporting for internal and external use.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

- Act as a financial liaison among different departments, ensuring data accuracy and a unified approach in financial decisions.

- Provide financial expertise and analytical support to cross-departmental projects and strategic initiatives.

Additional responsibility:

- Demonstrate expertise in, operational analysis, process development, and financial enhancement to

significantly improve the company's operational efficiencies and financial strength.

Qualifications:

- Qualified CA with at least 12 years of experience post-certification.

- Strong background in financial analysis, including extensive FP&A and BP&A experience.

- Proficient in creating detailed financial models and conducting complex data analyses.

- Demonstrated ability in managing SEC compliance and reporting, as well as mastery in MIS systems.

- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with other financial software.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

- Strong communication and presentation abilities; adept at explaining complex financial information to stakeholders.

- Proven capability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, both independently and as part of a team.
