Manager - Financial Control - BFS - CA/CPA

Job Description

The Finance Manager/Financial Controller will have an integral role in preparing all financial information and reports and will be responsible for a variety of general ledger-related activities, and balance sheet reconciliations as well as providing support for the sales team. This person will need to provide the leadership and management necessary to ensure that the company has the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures.

Designation: Finance Manager / Finance Controller

Reporting To: Group CFO and Head Office Corporate Controller

Responsibilities include:

- Maintenance of the General ledger

- Daily general ledger reconciliations

- Preparation of monthly accounts

- Liaise with and preparation of audit file for external auditors

- Dealing with all banking issues

- Submission of Sales Tax returns etc.

- Debtors and Creditor monitoring and control

- Applications for Customer credit insurance

- Preparation of weekly cashflow and forecast planning

- Assist with external financial and compliance reporting

- Assist with inventory monitoring and control

- Ship and Debit weekly return preparation and submission

- Management of all customer service and finance staff

- General office and other ad hoc.

Job Requirements:

- CPA or CA or equivalent Qualified

- Previous experience in an industry environment is desirable

- Familiarity with Sage Line 1000 is desirable

- Strong Microsoft Excel experience

- Experience with inventory is desirable

- Excellent verbal and communication skills
