Finance Manager in Bharuch for a leading MNC manufacturing organization

Client Profile: Our clients are a leading MNC Manufacturing organization. They have operations and plants across India and ambitious growth plans.

Role Purpose:

1. Our clients seek an accomplished Finance Manager to take ownership of the finance function at the site in Bharuch. Lead the finance function, maintain strong compliance at the Site, and partner with the business to achieve the operating KPIs.

2. Expected to bring a strong business partnering mindset to drive efficiency and highlight opportunities in plant cost and sales commercial.

3. Work with the supply team to manage inventory hygiene and highlight any anomaly on time to correct and deliver to the financial plan.

4. Ideal candidates must demonstrate high initiative, ownership, and integrity.

5. Will lead a 5-member team and report to the Head of Finance.

Job Description:

Accounting & Reporting:

1. Ensure timely and accurate preparation and review of Monthly P&L and business reports with variance analyses. (Product cost, Customer level margin, and working capital)

2. Book closing and finalization for the Plant

3. Anchor initiatives of Cost Savings to achieve the optimum cost of production and Budgeted profit

4. Review, analyze, and report monthly product costing, drive opportunity/areas of margin improvement, and impact of raw material price movement on profitability.

5. Ensure proper Evaluation of Capital projects, proper implementation of internal controls on utilization of Funds, and timely Capitalization of Capex

6. Support Business on pricing of products with insight on manufacturing cost and commodity movement.

Business Partnering:

1. Drive best practices in capital discipline (working capital and capital expenditures) and set targets.

2. Challenge the operations team on cost improvement and ensure strong cost control within the site.

3. Support the Site in generating efficiencies, initiating and providing analysis that drives performance at the Site

Planning:

1. Preparation of function-wise Annual Budget considering all aspects and needs in terms of Capex, Sales, Variable Costs, R&M, and Other Fixed Costs

2. Preparation of Rolling forecast every month.

Controls & Compliance (including Tax):

1. Ensure all basic internal controls are in place and anchor SOX implementation.

2. Ensure Delegation of Authority Guidelines (DAG) company policies are followed.

3. Timely Tax compliance for the site

4. Ensure clean and timely Audit - Statutory audit, Tax Audit and other Govt. Audits of the Brewery

Candidate Profile:

1. Chartered Accountant / Cost Accountant

2. 6 to 10 years of experience in finance and accounting, with at least 2-3 years in a manufacturing plant

The position is expected to be closed in the next 4 weeks.
