What You will do Everyday?

Accounting, Audit and Controls Related:

- Act as a custodian of Accounting Policy and Accounts Manual. Ensure timely updation of and adherence to the accounting standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all India accounting operations

- Develop and monitor control reports to ensure that the key accounting checks & balances, generation of MIS reports & dashboards for monitoring the effectiveness of the accounting activities

- Support in regular review of the accounting activities for deviations from the finalized service parameters and identification of areas where corrective action is required

- Monthly accounts closing related activities related to controls, such as monthly reconciliations, monthly control audits for identified locations.

- Co-ordinate with statutory auditors for requirements related to accounting and controls, SOPs and related accounting matters

- Co-ordinate for audit requirements for Systems and Process (SPA) Audits, tax audit and internal audit requirements

- Co-ordinate and manage digitalization effort for Finance & Accounts function while adhering to internal controls.

Accounting Operations:

- Ensure timely payment to vendors as per payment terms based on invoices cleared by regions and HO Finance for payment

- Ensure timely payment of Cash on Delivery (COD) amounts payable to customers based on payment terms & collections realized

- Liaise with Treasury Operations for raising funds requirement for vendor payments including COD operations

- Oversee timely payment of entry tax related dues and allocation thereof to the regions for raising charges on customers

- Ensure timely reconciliation and control of COD cash collections by all India by monitoring the amounts realized in bank account vs. deposit slips generated by regions.

- Ensure timely reconciliation and control of COD non-cash collections

- Bank reconciliation of banks accounts relating to COD and vendor payments

- Oversee the process of co-ordination with Collection Banks for addition of new locations for CMS pickup

- Oversee accounting, reconciliation and control for TDS certificates collected from the customers

- Monitoring and control for TDS collection by way of regular MIS to regions.

- Oversee Bank verification process for vendor master creation in Financial ERP

Billing Operations:

- Maintenance of critical masters of Billing systems

- Support formulation and UAT of changes in billing systems, functional expertise and controlling of billing operations

- Monitoring and control of all India Billing for centralized customers

- Cash GST billing operations and control

- Analysis and control of Carbon Footprint Analysis - including monthly Group submissions and purchase of required credit points from the Group

Credit Management Related:

- Support the formulation, monitoring and upkeep of credit management & collections policy, procedures and standard for the organization

- Support for weekly reviews of regions for receivables, accounting and control reports

- Support for implementation of systems and processes to monitor, report and reduce Daily Sales Outstanding (DSO) for the organization.

- Oversee the process of credit notes / write-off requests from regions that require HO approval
