Manager - Finance - IT

Leadership and Strategy:

1. Lead Finance at Build a high-performance and highly motivated Finance and Accounts function.

2. Lead the financial well-being of the organization by providing financial projections, accounting services, preparing growth plans, and ensuring optimum resource utilization.

3. Develop organization strategies by contributing financial and accounting information, analysis, and recommendations.

4. Partner with business leaders for defining the annual plans and delivery goals for the year. Act as a key decision-maker for financial-related commitments in business projects.

5. Critically evaluate the existing accounting & reporting structure and implement enhancements to increase efficiency and drive accuracy, timely action, and decision-making.

6. Lead the planning and implementation of a global business structure built on strong principles of compliance and efficient operations.

Financial Management and Operations:

1. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounts team, including managing vendor payments, bank accounts, and banking relationships for all group companies.

2. Ensure meticulous and up-to-date financial records through the effective use of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks and Tally).

3. Perform financial analysis and prepare periodic financial reports for management, including monthly bank reconciliation statements and cash outflow reports.

4. Ensure timely processing of salaries and related TDS compliances.

5. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies or outstanding issues.

Tax, Compliance, and Audit:

1. Ensure tax compliance, undertake proactive tax planning, and provide advice on tax matters to other functions.

2. Ensure compliance with the corporate laws and related regulations in all jurisdictions.

3. Collaborate with external auditors during statutory audits and provide necessary documentation and explanations.

4. Ensure complete compliance with local accounting regulations and standards in all jurisdictions and report via a compliance log.

5. Work closely with Chartered Accountant firms for services including audit, transfer pricing, and accounting advisory.

Treasury and Banking Operations:

1. Maximize return on treasury funds by identifying investment opportunities and maintaining relationships with banks & partners.

2. Ensure efficient working capital management for projects and operations and monitor daily cash flows and investment of excess funds.

3. Develop and manage the risk policies to protect the company's value from financial risks.

Reporting and Analysis:

1. Analyze business performance, progress of key projects, and drive business performance through financial insights and advice.

2. Monitor financial performance by measuring and analyzing results, initiating corrective actions, and minimizing variances.

3. Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets and cash flow statements.

4. Lead month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring accurate and timely reports.

5. Assist in fundraising efforts by providing financial data and analysis to investors and stakeholders.

Strategic Initiatives:

1. Develop financial strategies by forecasting capital & resource requirements.

2. Put in place an efficient global structure for revenue planning.
