Job Purpose:

The overall purpose of this role involves amix of strategic and operational responsibilities working with cross-functional stakeholders to understand the risks and establish governance and compliance processes across the organizationand make recommendations for compliant processes that align with Company's growth strategy.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

a) Develop and ensure implementation of robust enterprise risk management strategies that are in line with overall strategy.

b) Measure potential risk surrounding the internal control systems, process and operations of the organization and report on areas in need of management intervention.

c) Plan, execute, and report on several types of governance and assurance reviews, including post-remediation validations.

d) Conduct ongoing risk assessments and assist in developing and executing a dynamic risk assurance plan to address high-risk areas.

e) Lead improvements and design of innovative industry-wide compliance and controls across the Organization

f) Lead compliance related change management initiatives within the Leadership Team and across the Organization.

g) Support management in handling complex issues with external auditors and/or external regulators.

h) Prepare the risk and compliance departmental budget and follow up its implementation on approval.

i) Craft and communicate effective data-driven reporting and updates to influence decisions and outcomes internally.

j) Contribute to an environment that fosters innovation and enables continuous improvement of the risk and compliance mindset across the Company.

k) Consult with cross-functional stakeholders on risks relevant to their processes.

l) Develop and maintain tight coordination with cross-functional teams, including but not limited to: Engineering, Production, Finance, HR, Legal, Commercial and Supply Chain.

m) Participate and/or lead special or ad-hoc projects and initiatives.

n) Manage co-sourced consultants and optimize their engagement according to budget; function as the lead in the scoping, budgeting, tracking of budget versus actuals, and status reporting as needed.

o) Demonstrate impeccable ethics by acting as a role model for values, integrity, and professional conduct.

p) Stay abreast of current events and the regulatory environment and how they may affect Lato's processes and compliance.

q) Develop, and revise policies and procedures for the risk management and compliance department; and

r) Any other responsibilities assigned to the job holder by the supervisor from time to time.

Working relationships:

Internal Relationships: All departments

External Relationships: Regulatory Agencies, Financial institutions, Auditors

- Knowledge, experience, and qualifications required.

- Degree in risk management, Economics, Information Technology, Law, Accounting, Finance, or Banking from a recognized institution.

- Professional certification in Risk Management; Financial Risk Management (FRM), RCP Level 3, Chartered Risk Analyst (CRA) or Governance Risk and Compliance Management (GRCM).

- Minimum of 8 years' experience in risk management and compliance.

Technical & Behavioural competencies

- Successful history of managing and implementing global control and compliance programs, overseeing the management, training and development of controls and compliance for business teams in large enterprises.

- Experience easily navigating ambiguity and change and quickly growing a network.

- Proven experience as a strong cross-group collaborator and team player, dealing with complex problems, resolving conflicts, and experience influencing cross-functionally, and with executive-level audiences.

- Industry experience with governance and compliance risk management

- Audit or consulting experience in identifying risk and controls across business processes.

- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and regulations related to manufacturing sector.

- Demonstrated ability to engage and influence senior-level leaders regarding key business priorities, issues, and initiatives.

- Communication skills including presentation and facilitation skills.

- Good planning and analytical skills

- Critical thinking skills.

- Ability to work under pressure.

- Good ethics and confidentiality

- Time management skills
