The successful candidate will have a strong desire in innovating processes and exceed expectations in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, primarily driving innovation on behalf of customers / vendors.

As a people and process Manager:

- Leading and developing a team of circa 20AP Analysts/AP Specialists, Retail Relationship manager(s), including hiring, training, and employee development; managing group workload and establishing priorities; ensuring existing policies and procedures are followed; managing annual performance targets and operating budget; creating and monitoring appropriate performance metrics.

- This position will also act as an escalation point in resolving complex outstanding issues with internal and external business partners.

Responsible for overall deliverables related to AP Operations such as:

- Vendor on-time payment performance

- ReBNI (Received But Not Invoiced)

- Invoice On-holds

- Invoice receipt/archival including tax compliance

- Metrics/Reporting

As a Project Manager:

- Solving complex customer/vendor issues and proactively heading off negative service trends. Understanding and correctly utilizing resources provided by internal systems, departments, policies, and procedures.

- Development, analysis and improvement of new strategies and procedures. You will have the ability to develop, plan, and implement short and long-range goals. Developing and achieving performance goals and objectives in order to achieve vendor promise expectations

- Work with AP Program Manager and technical support functions like FOX, GFS and TREnD for building new processes and FC roll outs.

As a Compliance Manager:

- Owns defining / adhering to policies related to AP and drive consistency (wherever applicable) with entities globally.

- Responsible for document management viz., invoice receipt/sorting and scanning. Maintain and improve statutory processes like Form C issuance to amazon retail vendors.

- Responsible for document archival and trail/retrieval during tax and statutory audits. Build and execute monthly internal audit plans for process self-assessment.

- Create and execute audit plans for invoice exceptions approved by retail & finance partners.

- Responsible for creation of SOPs and checklists for invoice processing teams; Onus of updating SOPs/checklists in case of a change in business processsuch as implementation of new tax rule/rate, etc. To work with support teams to implement necessary changes at system level and educate transaction processing teams in a timely fashion.

As a Relationship Manager:

- Maintain exceptional relationship with retail and other business stake holders and resolve business issues

- Constantly work with business teams, share metrics and create plan of action for aged items in AP world. Build processes to highlighting issues with retail, finance and other business teams proactively such as potential invoice late payments.

- Work closely with finance operations team in different locations (HYD) for timely transaction processing.

Knowledge & Skills/ Business Acumen/ Education & Experience

- CA, CPA or CWA, with 10 or more years of post-qualification experience in Shared Services, Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable or General Ledger.

- Past experience in leading AP operations in large retail operations is a must.

- Strong Customer focus (both Internal / External).

- A work ethic based on a strong desire to exceed expectations.

- Strong interpersonal skills - including written and oral communication skills.

- Expertise in Six Sigma defect reduction techniques (DMAIC, etc.)

- Retail industry experience (Must)

- Experience using Oracle Financial Applications (Preferred)
