Job Description Purchase Accounting and Claims
Designation: Manager
Location: Bangalore
Summary -
Under the management of the Controller, will handle a team of 8-10 people plus Managers and be responsible for the complete purchase accounting, including claims, for the entire B2B business.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Handling the entire accounting of purchases including provisions, within specified deadlines with accurate reporting in MIS and audit
- Validation of all volume discount claims raised by the company on various vendors as per purchase agreements and schemes.
- Delivering all management reports including commenting on P&L and balance sheet movements
- Complete and accurate closure of audits, e.g. statutory audit, internal audit
- Develop a deep understanding of the business drivers behind purchasing, inventory planning and valuation
- Reconciling the claims accrued with actuals, and ensuring recoveries from vendor
- Assisting in the improvement in internal controls related to inventory and accounts payable
- Manage stakeholders within and outside, and provide all details required within agreed timelines
- Maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of ERP and constantly seek to optimize processes
- Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time
Basic Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountant
- An understanding of IGAAP/IndAS; GST
- Proficient in MS Excel
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with handling large data
- Goal oriented with excellent teamwork skills
- Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks and work within deadlines with little supervision
- Ability to build successful relationships with many different stakeholders
