Manager - Finance & Accounts

Role Overview:

- Manager - Finance & Accounts will be responsible for accounting, financial reporting, internal controls, tax and secretarial compliances of all entities of the Group, including its overseas subsidiaries.

- Our organization is in the process of implanting an ERP system. Manager - Finance & Accounts will play an active part in the project, including change management, user acceptance testing, go live, and hyper care. On an on-going basis, s/he will be responsible for ensuring that the system's capabilities are effectively used to meet the Group's needs.

Responsibilities:

Operational:

- Budgetary control including maintenance of budgets and reporting on variances with commentaries

- Transactional accounting including AR, AP, payroll, and banking

Treasury operations:

- Month close procedures

- Financial and statutory reporting

- Year close, including statutory audit

- Tax and corporate compliances

- Internal controls including development and implementation of policies

- Exception handling including stakeholder complaints

Functional:

- Team management including resource planning, hiring, rotation, work allocation

- Performance management of the team, including goal setting and performance reviews

- Departmental budget

- Development of departmental policies and procedures

- Continual improvement within the function

Organisational:

- Cross functional collaboration, including for change management, issue resolution, exception handling, and activities with dependencies

- Member of cross functional project teams

Role specific skillsets:

Vital:

- Knowledge and application of accounting standards

- Knowledge and application of tax and corporate laws

- Cost centre accounting and reporting

- Consolidation of financial statements

- Exposure to ERP environment

- Managed a team of at least six people

- Interpersonal skills

Essential:

- Liaisoing with external stakeholders including auditors, vendors, customers, bankers, statutory authorities

- Design and implement accounting processes

- Spoken and written English skills

Desirable:

- Accounting and compliances of overseas subsidiaries

- Exposure to ERP implementation
