Manager - Finance

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Manager/ Senior Manager - Finance will be responsible for collating, analyzing and presenting various financial data and information to allow senior management to understand the financial situation and trajectory of the company and take decisions to improve performance. S/he will report to and work closely with DGM, Finance, based in Mumbai and work closely with Senior operations and business leaders, accounting teams and be required to present to the CFO and CEO as needed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to):

- Any and all analysis and recommendations related to the P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow and other financial statements, investment decisions, budgets and forecasts and other ad-hoc analysis based on data based on operational KPIs and accounting/ financial data for the company

- Collation and understanding of all financial data from the accounting/ finance/HR and operation teams and systems and other systems- including revenue and cost/ profitability variance analysis and forecasting

- Assembling, cleaning and analyzing such data and MIS/ dashboards for use in various presentations including but not limited to monthly reporting, budgeting/ forecasting, investment decisioning, efficiency and performance improvement etc.

- Devising, designing and conducting various analysis needed in the corporate finance area to enable business decisions - pricing, process improvement, operations efficiency, new investments, expense/ cost analysis, investment decisioning etc.

- Maintaining good housekeeping of reports, past analysis, data and presentations

- Driving continuous improvement in the above processes and helping the company drive better cost synergies internally as well as in new M&A

CORE EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES:

- CA or MBA or Graduate in quantitative field from high-ranking institution

- 7-12 years of experience in FP&A in a firm of high growth or turnaround situation

- Service industry experience (ideally IT/ ITES/ BPO/ KPO/ consulting)

- Strong understanding of accounting standards and financial metrics

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- An entrepreneurial mindset and a keen business sense

- Ability to prepare and deliver compelling presentations

- Advanced experience with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

- Basic understanding and some experience with BI systems like Tableau, Power BI, COGNOS etc.

- (Nice to have) knowledge and experience working with ERP systems like Workday. Netsuite, MSD365, Oracle

- (Nice to have) understanding of US GAAP
