Manager - External Audit - Assurance & Enterprise Risk Services

The key job responsibilities include the following:

The professional would work within the audit practice to provide assurance and related services to our clients. This would require them to be involved in all stages of audit (planning, execution and reporting) and the ability to guide a team of junior staff on their engagements.

Planning:

- Planning assistance and development of plan

- Preliminary analytical review

- Other planning activities

- Testing and review

- Journal entry testing

- Data analytics

- Substantive testing of account balances

- Working paper reviews

Reporting:

- Financial statement review and referencing

- Disclosure and SEC compliance checklists

- Draft engagement communications

- Other reporting activities

Other areas:

- Quarterly review procedures

- Group audit support

- Employee benefit plans

- Accounting support on audit engagements including preliminary accounting research and analysis

The key skills required:

- Excellent Communications - verbal & written

- Develop an understanding of the audit approach, methodology and tools

- Demonstrate good knowledge of auditing and aptitude for technical accounting

- Execute components of audit under remote service delivery model in an effective and efficient manner

- Implement high standards of quality for performance of team

- Monitor engagement progress

- Lead multiple audit assignments simultaneously

- Anticipates project issues and take appropriate measures to resolve

- Develop and enhance good relationship with U.S. audit teams

- Ensure that audit documentation is in compliance with quality standards of the Firm.

- Take ownership for the results of the team members

- Provide effective counseling, training, coaching and mentoring to team members to assist them in fully developing their potential

- Demonstrate maturity, poise and self confidence in managing self and dealing with colleagues
