Equity Discretionary Trading Manager

Looking forward for a suitable candidate for the position of Equity Discretionary Trading Desk.

JD:

The candidate will be part of a trading team and be responsible for:

- Generating and analysing ideas to be used in discretionary equity trading

- Managing trading positions

Key Responsibilities:

- Candidate will be responsible for leading trading teams and grooming new traders eventually

- Tracking news related to companies/economy and identifying potential trades

- Tracking and maintaining a database of regularly released data (company results, monthly auto sales etc) to generate trade ideas

- Liaising with sell-side analysts to gain in-depth knowledge of companies/sectors. Specialization in 2-3 sectors for research and news tracking purposes

- Assisting senior traders with trade analysis and trade management

- Full responsibility for a trading book within 6-9 months of starting

Job Requirements:

Qualifications: MBA- IIM

Experience Relevant work experience of 0-2 years

- Analytical skills, logical thinking

- Basic knowledge of derivatives, fundamental and technical analysis

- Effective communication and collaborative skills

- Meticulous, methodical, inquisitive personality with willingness to stretch, hunger to learn and passion for markets

- Ability to work as a part of a team
