- This role oversees all ongoing activities related to the development, implementation, maintenance of, and adherence to the organization's privacy policies and procedures. This position will be the head privacy position in APAC and will help to work with other global regions to standardize our strategies in APAC.  Job Description :  This position will directly responsible for managing the development, implementation and maintenance of clients Global Privacy Program across the APAC business. In addition to assisting the Vice President, Global Privacy, the Manager will have the following responsibilities:  - Engaging with clients management and other key stakeholders to proactively address privacy matters, as well as effectively respond to privacy issues that are relevant and impact stakeholders throughout clients APAC business.  - Engaging with clients Information Security team concerning the development, implementation and coordination of clients information security program as it relates to privacy for the APAC business.  - Participating in conducting risk assessments with key internal stakeholders.  - Identify reasonably foreseeable internal and external threats that could result in unauthorized disclosure, misuse, alteration or destruction of customer information or customer information systems.  - Assess the likelihood and potential damage of these threats, taking into consideration the sensitivity of the personal data.  - Responding to, investigating and resolving privacy-related inquiries and complaints from data subjects, clients, employees, members of the public and federal and provincial privacy commissioners.  - Coordinating relevant stakeholders across clients APAC business to manage public perception of clients privacy practices as the established market leader in background screening in APAC.  - Contributing to whitepapers, blogs, and social media engagement on privacy issues.  Skills / Knowledge :  Proven track record of success, consisting of:  - Excellent communication skills - with an ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both verbally and written. Written skills need to be particularly strong.  - Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of stakeholders, including the general public, ground-level staff, senior management and government regulatory agencies.  - Proficient legal research skills.  - Excellent change management and project management skills.  - Advanced critical thinking skills and crisis management skills.  - Ability to propose and champion innovations that maximize compliance with new programs and policies while minimizing interruption of current business functions and mitigating opposition from internal stakeholders.  Experience :  - 3-5 years of experience in privacy, data protection, security, risk management, fraud investigation or compliance.  - Good knowledge and understanding of privacy principles in India (specifically, the IT Act 2000, and the IT Ministry's Privacy Rules).  - Knowledge and understanding of other privacy laws in APAC is desirable.  Education :  - University degree from an accredited university required.  - The candidate has obtained one or more of the following certifications: Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP, with CIPP/A preferred), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
