Manager - Engineering

Roles & Responsibilities :

We're looking for an engineering leader to scale and lead our talented team of engineers. The successful candidate will oversee the engineering department, ensuring the successful delivery of projects, fostering a collaborative work environment, and contributing to the overall technical strategy of the organization.

Location : Remote, Indian Standard Time

Experience Level : Mid Senior Level

- Provide technical leadership and vision in a widely scoped engineering team.

- Work collaboratively with other cross-functional teams and leaders.

- Work cross-functionally with product management leadership to drive said vision.

- Balancing a long-term vision with a high-impact and iterative roadmap.

- Setup vision and technical strategy to drive impactful business outcomes

- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive company-wide engineering initiatives and process changes

- Drive the development of the product and platform in a fast-paced environment.

- Grow, educate, and retain a successful team with a high delivery cadence in an agile environment

- Identify opportunities for process improvement within the engineering department, implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and productivity.

- Develop a culture of engineering excellence and operational efficiency

- Ensure your team ships products consistently at high quality and velocity

- Behands-on in technical architecture and reviews, provide technical leadership to the engineers, and be accountable for the technical decisions made on the team

- Partner closely with engineers, product, design, and cross-functional leaders to help shape, sequence, and lead the team's engineering work

- Have a holistic view across engineering & product and drive strategy

- Ensure compliance with engineering standards, regulations, and quality requirements.

- Knowledge of Security and privacy-related issues while using the open-source algorithm - Knowledge of design and Coding best practices such as Secure Coding

- Maintain the Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability of all information or assets shared and assessed by you.

- Adhere to Wysa's security, privacy and compliance policies and procedures.

- Contribute to building continual improvement practices

Qualifications & Skills :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related field.

- Proven experience of at least 4+ years as an Engineering Manager or in a similar leadership role.

- Strong technical background with expertise in AWS & Mern Stack.

- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

- Demonstrated ability to drive projects from concept to completion in a collaborative environment.

- Effectiveness at leading and executing large & complex technical initiatives

- You're passionate about being in a product-focused environment where everyone cares deeply about customer impact.

- Project management certification is a plus.
