Employee Relations (Industrial Relations)-Manager

The Team:

- The Manager, Employee Relations has a phenomenal impact to the business both from a financial as well as reputational risk. We are striving to handle all employment matters as consistently and effectively as possible. The harm to the firm if recommendations are incorrect could cause a great deal of money to defend as well as damage to our firm's reputation.

- The role is responsible for diagnosing, resolving and investigating highly sensitive and complex employee relations issues (e.g. sexual harassment or other discrimination claims, threats of violence, hostile work environment) from across the firm as identified from partnership with business unit HR colleagues, managers and co-associates.

- Liaising with HR business partners including Legal and Security to investigate and review cases as needed.

- The role is part of a centralized Employee Relations function that ensures a consistent and equitable approach to employee relations' issues which helps mitigate risk to the company.


The Expertise You Have:

- Minimum Bachelor's/PG Degree

- 3 to 5 years in progressively responsible HR and/or business management role

- Problem solving capability

- Advanced Excel skills preferred for reporting

- Strong communication skill

- Employee Relations experience preferred

The Skills You Bring:

- Experience in handling difficult, complex, and sensitive employee relations issues and providing guiding and mentorship to associates and managers

- Strong ability at leading and managing a high volume of cases and multiple complex priorities

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capability

- Ability to exercise sound judgement and make independent decisions and recommendations on difficult and sensitive matters in a thorough and expeditious manner

- Strong aptitude to identify trends and develop proposed solutions

- Reviewing relevant policies and training

- Guide and train managers on various ER related trainings and overall management concepts in alignment with company philosophy, practices and processes.

The Value You Deliver:

- Handling all complex employee relations cases from across the company which includes detailing and managing case notes for legal and archiving purposes

- Identifying and resolution of trends detailed handling of cases, recognizing patterns of issues, raising issues with appropriate partners including recommendations and solutions for addressing concerns

- Maintaining and developing relationships with HR, Legal, Security, FREC, and Business Contingency

- Participating in projects as both lead and subject matter experts as needed. This includes developing of new or revised training, policy changes, process and tools, IBR, Climate Survey, and Performance Management.
