Manager - Development & Planning - Real Estate

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

- Create and maintain complex development models for retail and retail led mixed use projects.

- This person will essentially need to obtain data from the development team of each of the projects and assimilate/analyse it from a budget/timeline point of view. The goal will be to understand this data and come up with a plan/strategy to pre-empt likely issues and assist in smooth completion of projects.

- Participate in all aspects of the development process, including diligence, acquisition, design, construction, finance, marketing, pre-opening, sales, leasing and operations.

- Collect and integrate project data, including construction cash flow requirements, operating income and expense projections and financing assumptions for project pro-formas.

- Prepare quarterly asset management reports in accordance with the systems and templates prepared by the Investment Team and as needed by Investment Partners with an emphasis on development and or operational progress and critical decision points.

- Maintain project budgets and schedules and report on variances.

- Assist with due diligence activities for potential development projects including the research and analysis of a variety of market factors that may influence the viability of a potential development project. Arrange third-party reports such as diligence reports, market studies, tax analysis, etc.

- Evaluate and analyze market data including comparable properties (rents, sale prices, occupancy, etc.), supply and demand dynamics, etc.
