Manager - Data Scientist

Currently we are hiring Data Scientists for our tier 1 IT client. Below is the JD for the same.

Client: Leading IT Player

Location: Bangalore

Career Level:Manager

Experience: 8-12 years

Data Scientist:

- Phd in a relevant field like statistics, computer science or applied maths, physics or relevant subjects or 4+ years experience in computer science, applied mathematics, or other quantitative/computational discipline.

- Strong background in statistical concepts and calculations

- 5+ years experience with real data

- Innovative and strong analytical and algorithmic problem solvers

- 2+ years experience with open source machine learning tools: Python/scikit-learn or R.

- 2+ years experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Ruby, Perl, Bash) for orchestration and data manipulation

- Data engineering experience, including SQL and experience manipulating structured and unstructured data sources for analysis.

- Preferred: experience with MapReduce/Hadoop and related technologies (e.g., Pig, Hive, Cascading).

- Familiarity with Amazon Web Services and Elastic MapReduce a plus
