- 5+ years data science and analytics experience.
- Strong project management and leadership skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build processes and implement tools from the ground-up.
- Ability to coach and mentor analysts on technical and analytical skills.
- Proven analytical and quantitative skills and an ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, develop business cases, and complete root cause analyses.
- Ability to employ statistics and anomaly detection techniques for data-driven analytics.
- Ability to process, cleanse, and verify the integrity of data used for analysis and modeling.
- Solid experience with common data science toolkits, such as scikit-learn, Spark ML, pandas, Scipy,etc.
- Strong SQL knowledge; working experience with standard Business Intelligence tools is a great plus.
- Experience dealing with large quantities of data across relational and NoSQL databases, cloud storage, and distributed compute systems.
- Ability to scale data science solutions with a keen understanding of how to optimize performance and mitigate computing cost.
- Experience with data visualization tools.
- Experience in the utility or energy industries.
Roles and responsibilities :
- Build a Data Science organization, allowing the company to harness the power of data in developing - and marketing new products.
- Liaise with Product and Business Leaders to understand issues, priorities and support them through relevant product and business analytics.
- Deliver data backed analysis and statistically proven solutions.
- Ability to work across time zones in a dynamic start-up setting.
- Analyzing vast amounts of data to identify patterns and create thought leadership on customer usage patterns and rates.
- Experience in the utility or energy industries.
