Manager - Data Quality - Insurance

We are looking for a skilled Data Professional to join our team. The ideal candidate must have an eye for identifying and resolving data quality gaps and would work closely with systems architects, application owners and analysts to help analyze and fix issues with the data and ensure consistency of data and its utilization across multiple applications.

Responsibilities:

- Work closely with other data and analytics team members to optimize the company's data quality and masters

- Design and build the infrastructure for data profiling, discovery, analysis, de-duplication and cleansing of data from a variety of sources using technology such as TCS Mastercraft

- Build a data dictionary for the entire organization with definitions and holistic record of business logic and derivations

- Raising data quality and performance levels across systems

- Providing a high level of data quality awareness across multiple staff profiles

- Proactively improving the quality for organization wide reporting

- Evaluating and identifying where system enhancements are required

Qualifications:

- Graduate/PG degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent quantitative field and 2+ years of experience in a data quality focused role

- Experience working with and analyzing data from large, disconnected and/or unstructured datasets

- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage projects and work with cross-functional teams

- Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases

- Experience in performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement

 Experience with the following tools and technologies:

- TCS Mastercraft or equivalent DQ tools

- Relational SQL and NoSQL databases

- Candidates will be looked upon favorably if they have the following qualifications and experience:

- A recognized data quality certification e.g. IQCP, CIMP, ISO 8000

- Experience of presenting on Data Quality at a major industry conference

- Published papers or articles on Data Quality in a major media site, industry journal or trade magazine
