Purpose of the Role:

To derive long term and relevant insights through data analytics resulting in better decision making. The role is expected to be significantly future focused and forward digital thinking of the organization.

Qualification & Experience:

Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in any quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Mathematics, Quantitative Finance or Operational Research

Experience: At least 3 years of experience working in Analytics / Business Intelligence environment. Expertise in working with large scale data platforms - SQL, Hadoop, Pig, Hive & proven experience with any of the following languages- Perl, Python, Java, Ruby

Key Deliverables of the role -

1. Identify trends, patterns and concerns emerging from data (internal/ external) and convert them into insights/ hypothesis. Test these hypotheses and present with recommendations for positive business impact.

2. Analyze customer behavioral patterns by data mining and statistical models on large data - sets

3. Develop novel ways to help business partners achieve objectives through analysis & modelling

4. Think outside the box to identify & test new sources of information that unlock new business value

5. Design experiments, test hypotheses, and build actionable models to optimize operations.

6. Solve analytical problems, and effectively communicate methodologies and results

7. Build predict models to forecast opportunity/risks for product launches and other related processes

8. Draw inferences and conclusions, and create dashboards and visualizations of processed data, identify trends, anomalies

9. Experienced in proposing ROI based solutions to business

10. Some of the areas you will be working on - Behavioural models, Price prediction, Predictive models, ranking algos of search results, fraud detection, etc.

- Experience in statistical techniques such as classification, clustering, regression, etc.

- Understanding of advanced data analysis (e.g. predictive analytics, machine learning, econometrics)
