Position: Data Engineering Manager Role: Techno Managerial Job Type: Permanent Job Location: Bangalore Qualification: B.Tech / B.E Experience: 10+ yrs (At least 2 years into people management is mandatory) Responsibilities Include : - Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions - Own the overall delivery and the solution architecture of the feature your team will be working on - Write readable, concise, reusable, extensible code - Perform code reviews, tests, deploy & diagnose production issues - Design and implement scalable, reliable, secure and fault tolerant backend systems - Pair with team members on functional and non-functional requirements, and spread design philosophy, goals, and improve the code quality across the team - Mentor the team, recognize their strengths, and encourage them to take ownership of their deliverables - Take responsibility for multiple services maintained by the team - Research new tools, learn and experiment with new languages and technologies Qualifying Criteria : - 8+ years of hands-on experience in software development - designing, developing, testing and deploying large scale applications in any language or stack - Good understanding of at least one of the following programming languages: Golang or Java or Clojure or Ruby - Strong understanding in either of HTTP or gRPC protocol and serialization formats like protobuf - Experience in working with RDBMS (Postgres/MySQL/NoSQL/MongoDB/Aerospike etc) - Experience in containerization technologies like docker, Kubernetes, K8 Clusters etc - Experience working in any cloud platforms (AWS, Azure etc.,) preferably GCP - Data modelling experience in either Relational or NoSQL databases - Ability to design and implement low latency GRPC/RESTful services - Proficiency in OOP, SQL, Design Patterns; experience with functional programming is a plus - Well-versed with Agile methodologies, as well as writing unit tests and maintaining good coverage (knowledge of TDD is a plus) - Candidates from Internet /eCommerce (B2B/B2C) or Fin Tech or Product Development industry are preferred to apply.
