Manager - Credit Risk - Auto & Commercial Vehicle

Job Purpose

To evaluate and review credit risk policies and processes for the " Auto and LMV " of the organisation. To suggest mitigation to the risks identified. To provide hands-on development of risk models involving market, credit, and operational risk and to assure controls are operating effectively and carry out research and analysis. To monitor, analyse portfolios and identify riskier segments. To devise risk strategies to mitigate risk arising from different segments.

Duties & Responsibilities

- To evaluate existing and new credit risk policies and processes for risks and build in risk mitigation norms.

- To ensure implementation of the credit risk management policy approved by the Board.

- To formulate, review and implementation of credit risk appetite.

- Monitor credit risks on an SFB wide basis and ensure compliance with the Board approved risk parameters/prudential limits and monitor risk concentrations.

- Lead the development and adoption of best-in-class tools to analyse risk and support delivery.

- To prepare credit scorecards for business and for risk management purposes and placing recommendations before the CRO

- Demonstrate leadership in integrating best-practice from industry and leading public sector organisations and drive change through the effective influencing of internal and external stakeholders, on risk and change matters affecting the service.

- Lead and implement GRC (Governance, Risk Management & Compliance) Model with appropriate control to drive process improvement effort

- Assist in the development, maintenance and execution of regulatory framework documentation and controls including reconciliation and variance analysis

- To carry out reporting and analysis for senior management.

Key Challenges

- Ensuring that the credit risk strategy is kept up to date. Building effective links between risk management and internal teams

- Ensuring close integration between risk management, change control, Businesses, Collections and other service teams' activities and help avoid risk management acting as a standalone element within overall delivery. Manage the service risk log and ensure this is optimised in an intensive and efficient manner.
