Credit Policy and Management : - Act as a custodian of Credit Policy and Accounts Manual for Accounts Receivable. Ensure timely updation of and adherence to the accounting standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to Accounts receivable for all India cash and credit sales - Develop and monitor control reports to ensure that the key checks &amp; balances, generation of MIS reports &amp; dashboards for monitoring the effectiveness of credit function - Ensure appropriate collection and accounting systems and processes to ensure efficiency, accuracy and control of collection systems Collections Management and Accounting : - Support in regular review of the collection plans and deviations from the same and identification of areas where corrective action is required - Monthly accounts closing related activities related to accounts receivable, such as monthly doubtful debtors provision calculation. - Co-ordinate with statutory auditors for requirements related to receivables and controls, SOPs and related accounting matters - Co-ordinate for audit requirements for Systems and Process (SPA) Audits, tax audit and internal audit requirements related to accounts receivable - Follow-up, control, review and reconciliation of TDS collectible from customers - Oversee the process of credit notes / write-off requests from regions that require HO approval - Review of credit notes, and identification of scope of improvement areas to eliminate the number and value of credit notes COD related accounting and control : - Tracking and control of COD collections and deposits with bank - Leveraging of COD for delinquent debtors to minimize credit risks and write off cases for bad debts
