Work Location: Mumbai.

Description :

FIRM COE is an extension to the FIRM team and supports NA, EU and Asia regions. Responsible for handling credit analysis, assigning risk ratings, monitoring exposures and seeking approvals of credit memo on an annual basis. Public Sector team is responsible for covering sovereign credits and working closely with their GIRM/ FIRM counterparts in assessing EU Sovereigns.

Role Outline:

- Carry-out business and financial review of Company Sovereign counter parties in Public Sector portfolio (Europe).

- Perform written credit analysis and recommend credit ratings for approval of Public Sector Clients.

- Conduct sector and annual reviews at appropriate frequency.

- Understand overall macroeconomics situation in Europe and reflect it into the reviews.

- Monitor limits utilization and excesses for countries/ supranational in the portfolio.

- Participating in ad-hoc projects portfolio reviews, preparing credit updates for senior management and portfolio bankers.

- Sound presentation skills as the analyst will be frequently involved in portfolio review presentation to senior credit officers.

Objectives:

Key focus will be the assessment of Public Sector client risks and providing support to the Europe Public Sector team & and senior credit officers through best-in-class risk analysis; to ensure a well-coordinated, quality credit process in conjunction with counterparts across the world.

Core Responsibilities:

Ability to recommend credit decisions to Senior credit officers in managing their portfolios and take decisions as credit officer.

Responsible for country analysis and developing domain expertise for portfolio updates

Establish and maintain consistent standards and processes in credit analysis through interaction with Public Sector/ Global Country Risk Management Team.

Take responsibility for the analysis of complex credits;

Work on complex financial forecasts/models and provide financial updates for credit reviews;

Monitor stressed countries on monthly/quarterly basis, support on Stress Tests

Monitor trading limits & exposures of obligors to ensure that credit risk levels are within the Public Sector risk tolerance.

Responsible for credit exposure management for risk management purpose by resizing exposure extended and also securing credit exposure for company

- Work on portfolio/reviews highlighting important Risks/Mitigants to Risk Seniors.

Key Deliverables:

Preparing credit approval memos and tracking the Country Matrix independently.

Responsible for assigning risk ratings based upon Country financial strength, operating performance and market profile using qualitative and quantitative models.

Ensure company policies and procedures are well understood & consistently followed

Ensuring consistent dialogue is maintained with customer groups to make sure their requirements are met.

Solid product knowledge and understanding of credit structure.

Work independently and assist In-country Risk Senior Credit Officers in portfolio management.

Note : Experience of Credit analysis on financial institutions is mandatory
