Domnic Lewis has been mandated to hire Manager Costing for a Bangalore based MNC.

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Manager, Costing to join our dynamic finance team and lead the cost analysis and control functions for our manufacturing plants. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in evaluating and managing the costs associated with our products and services. Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing cost sheets, budgets, forecasts, and variance reports. You will collaborate with various departments to implement cost reduction strategies, ensure accurate cost reporting, and provide valuable financial insights for strategic decision-making.

Specific Responsibilities:

1. Performance Analysis: Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) trends, focusing on financial metrics such as Revenue, Gross Profit, NIAT, EVA, ROCC, and DSI.

2. Variance Monitoring: Monitor KPIs and investigate unexpected variances, providing insights and recommendations.

3. Financial Planning: Develop and enhance budgeting, financial projections, and operating forecasts for continuous improvement.

4. Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, planning, purchase, logistics, quality, sales, and Business Units, to offer financial insights and support decision-making.

6. Project Evaluation: Evaluate the financial impact of new projects, initiatives, and investments, conducting scenario analysis and risk assessment.

7. Financial Policies: Implement and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance and accuracy.

8. Cost Management: Prepare cost sheets, budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses for different cost centers or projects.

9. Cost Reduction Strategies: Work with various departments to identify and implement cost reduction strategies and efficiency improvements.

10. Recommendations for Improvement: Recommend changes to production methods, materials, or components based on cost-benefit analysis and industry trends.

11. Compliance and Audits: Conduct cost audits and compliance reviews to ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.

12. Training and Supervision: Train and support staff and suppliers in understanding and applying cost drivers and standards. Supervise and coach a team of financial analysts and accountants.

Qualifications: Holder of a Chartered Accountant qualification from ICAI.

Experience: Minimum 10 Years: At least 10 years of experience in financial planning, cost and management accounting, and financial analysis, preferably within the manufacturing industry.

Skill Sets & Competencies:

- Analytical Proficiency: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and SAP. Experience with BI tools and data visualization is a plus.

- Time Management: Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle multiple tasks.

- Detail Orientation: Attention to detail, accuracy, and commitment to quality.

Industry Understanding: In-depth knowledge of materials, components, processes, and techniques involved in production, along with awareness of sourcing, logistics, and taxation aspects of the supply chain.
