Manager- Corporate Communication

Purpose : The primary purpose of this role is to lead all SKF communications across different stakeholder groups. Its main aims are to both focus on how we communicate and continue to improve employee engagement through clear, transparent, and two-way communication. This role will work closely with various internal and external stakeholders including investors, industry forums and media, to deliver communications on a broad spectrum of SKF India priorities.

The role is hands-on and will manage proactive and reactive communications, from strategy to messaging to execution. This includes aligning messaging with company objectives, understanding stakeholder information needs, gathering and writing communications to address those needs.

Roles and Responsibility :

Corporate communications :

- Develop and implement a communications strategy to build a positive corporate brand.

- Leverage media relations in mainline, online, trade, electronic channels, as well as plan and execute integrated communication campaigns encompassing social media.

- Liaising with PR Agency, seeking appropriate placements in print, broadcast and online media and responding to enquiries from media.

- Plan, edit and write variety of content including Q&As, press releases, bylined articles and thought leadership pieces.

- Develop and implement company-wide internal communication plan that engage, align and inspire employees with company's vision and business strategy and to drive employees' understanding of priorities and key initiatives.

- Establish the company employee engagement program, including identifying and implementing communications opportunities to connect leadership with employees, and developing key messages and communications materials like internal newsletters.

- Highlight Sustainability and CSR initiatives in media and support marketing team in their PR efforts, whenever needed.

Investor relations :

- Facilitate Investor/analyst meetings, earnings conference calls, which may include creating and reviewing the agenda, and list of participants, setting the format and dates of the meetings and coordinating with all internal stakeholders.

- Create presentations, press releases, and other communication materials for earnings releases, industry events, and presentations to analysts and investors.

- Facilitate the company's annual general meeting, which may include creating and reviewing the agenda, coordinating the meeting, and other related tasks.

- Produce annual shareholder report and manages the investor relations section of the company website.

- Serves as the key point of contact for the investment community.

Factory communication :

- Analyze and audit current factory communications program and develop new communications plan to ensure engagement and education in line with SKF factory's strategy and focus areas.

- Partner with Factory teams to identify internal communication needs and develop communication plans to support goals, initiatives and events.

- Research and mine for content to maintain and execute internal communication calendar.

- Evaluate and manage the signages and branding requirements for all factories regularly.

- Drive employee engagement activities specifically for the shop floor employees and factory team.

- Identify and extract stories and information from within the Factory team to be tailored for positive internal and external use.

- Responsible for the coordination of all media-related factory tours, logistics pre/post and during events, partnering with external vendors and internal workplace and admin departments, as necessary.

Branding communication :

- Create and maintain templates for brand materials used for external and internal use such as presentation slides, business cards, letterhead etc.

- Work closely with internal team and outside vendors (designers, videographers, etc.) to meet agreed-upon project timelines regarding design and production of content.

- Ensure that all content deliverables are consistent with the SKF Brand voice and guidelines, are factually accurate, and meet applicable standards for simplicity of language.

- Create communication aids, tools and templates to be used by various stakeholders as per the brand guideliines.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES :

- Excellent writing and communications skills with an ability to integrate strategic messages and target an audience appropriately.

- Ability to partner with people across all teams and levels to foster a cohesive and creative work environment.

- Demonstrated attention to detail.

- Ability to manage time and prioritize competing priorities.

- Ability to analytically benchmark and identify best practices.

Experience :

- 10-12 years of experience in Communications with a PR Agency and then working with the corporate communication (in-house role) will be an added advantage.

Location : The post is based in Bangalore. Local travel is necessary, and flexibility is required to work from any SKF location at any time.
