We seek candidates who will help grow private sector, energy market business, building on our established team and leveraging broad energy sector capabilities in power and renewable markets.  - Ideal candidates will possess strong backgrounds in energy market economics and policy; learn and master new material quickly; form and grow strong relationships with clients; manage teams, think creatively; take new ideas into action; work independently; and contribute as a team player.   - The selected candidate will contribute to the development of innovative, accurate, timely, and high quality products and services, typically working on multiple projects with all levels of staff.   - The selected candidate will also have an opportunity to apply experience and academic knowledge, lead major projects, and interact with experts and clients in the field, while continuing to build content knowledge and consulting skills  Key Responsibilities:  - Expand energy market business with existing and new clients.  - Provide market insights and analytically-based analyses of energy policies and markets with particular emphasis on natural power and renewable sector  - Lead projects addressing power supply-demand balance on national, regional, state and utility-specific basis.  - Understands the power markets in terms of power purchase agreements, fuel supply agreements, trends in long and short terms bids  - Interact with existing staff to verify that various assumptions on energy markets are correctly represented in our modeling and that results are defensible.  - Manage all aspects of contracts, including marketing, scope development, proposal writing and budgeting, project execution, budget tracking and supervising staff  - Coordinate with other practices in the company and with other firms and organizations to pursue and develop winning projects evaluating energy market  Basic Qualifications:  - Bachelor's degree in engineering  - 8+ years of experience in energy and power market analysis and policy  - 2+ years business leadership experience: staff, program and budget management  - 2+ years business development experience including generation of leads, proposal writing and presentations to prospective clients  - Demonstrative knowledge of power/fuel sector forecasting  Preferred Skills/Experience:  - Master's degree in Engineering/Management  - Ability to manage team  - Industry certifications, professional affiliations, and publications  Professional Skills:  - Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills  - Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision making capabilities  - Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment  - Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment  - Sound business ethics, including the protection of proprietary and confidential information  - Ability to work with all levels of internal staff, as well as outside clients
