Manager, Compliance - Investment Management Firm

JOB PROFILE:

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Responsible for designing and implementing a company-wide compliance program to drive compliance with legal and regulatory requirements as well as with internal policies (US and India)

- Responsible for implementing Company's policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (US and Indian laws)

- Develop compliance standards and programs to ensure all business processes transitioned to and supported from India meet the compliance requirements

- Develop knowledge and take initiatives to ensure compliance with data protection laws (US and India) including overseeing compliance with ISO 27001 through regular tracking and reporting across the Company

- Collaborate and work with law departments and other business units across the Company Group to drive initiatives and analyze opportunities for developing appropriate compliance standards and programs

- Develop a compliance tracker to evaluate and report on compliance status to the management

- Provide legal and secretarial support on corporate statutory compliances and legal matters pertaining to India entities including compliances under Companies Act, 2013, FEMA, labour laws and other applicable corporate laws

- Review and draft agreements, contracts, MOUs for various services availed by the India entities

- Review policies specific to India entity and provide support in interpreting India laws

- Provide support for handling internal and external audit queries

- Develop, roll out and track mandatory compliance trainings for all employees

- Any other legal or compliance-related work assigned from time to time

QUALIFICATIONS AND TECHNICAL SKILLSETS:

- LLB from a recognized university

- Atleast 8-10 years experience of working in global corporate set up related to implementing and administering compliance programs, tracking and reporting on issues to management

- Working knowledge of statutory compliances applicable to private limited companies in India

- Should be emotionally matured; Need to be resourceful & comfortable working with people from diverse culture

- Strong communication and presentation skill

- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

- Resilient in withstanding pressure and delivering efficiently; Demonstrate positive outlook on everyday challenges
