In general, a HR compensation and benefits manager's primary responsibility is designing, overseeing and implementing a firm's compensation and benefits programs.They also monitor salary structures, balance staffing needs with cost controls, and ensure that policies, procedures and programs are in alignment with the organization's overall strategic objectives and HR vision.
Monitoring salary structure and benefits at all times
Developing competitive benefit packages
Ensuring all packages and benefits are legal
Maintaining and developing personnel record systems
Helping to decide whether a job should be paid hourly or a set yearly salary
Build relationships with other companies that can provide further services (food, transport etc)
Preparing and distributing information to employees
