Reporting To: Compensation & Benefits Leader
The Compensation Partner will be responsible for design and administration of Compensation and Benefits programs, including targeted need based programs and compensation plans for the businesses supported with the overall objective of optimizing (labour) costs.
- The Compensation Partner is involved conducting research and analysis in different areas involving compensation, such as compensation statistics and market analysis. He/She would also be responsible for conducting position evaluations, job classifications, and assessing the budgetary impact of compensation decisions and providing oversight of compliance with regulations and labor laws.
- The Compensation Partner would be responsible to consult with HR Partners and business to provide key insights into compensation and benefits programs, policies and practices and their utilization and impact.
- He / She would also be responsible to advice on appropriate compensation solutions to address various business challenges.
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure that compensation programs and practices are in compliance with current legislation (pay equity, human rights, etc)
- Use various methods and techniques and make data based decisions on compensation and benefits
- Prepare job descriptions, job analysis, job evaluations and job classifications
- Participate in salary and labour market surveys to determine prevailing pay rates and benefits
- Differentiate pay systems to invest in talent and skills critical for our business growth and clients.
- Conduct ongoing research into emerging trends, issues and best practices
- Advise HR Partners and business leaders on benefit and compensation policies and programs, trends, regulations and impact.
- Perform multifactor data and cost analyses that may be used for compensation planning; Analyze, review & recommend changes to compensation and benefits programs and policies

- High degree of proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Power Point
