Manager - Commercial - Fertilizer

JOB PURPOSE:

- To support the Unit Head by providing the correct perspective from the commercial Point of view in all matters pertaining to the unit.

- To assist the Unit Head in drawing up the business plans for the company in commercial function.

- To lead the warehouse, logistic and purchase team at the unit in discharging their roles / function at the unit.

- To identify alternative vendors and service providers in order to bring substantial reduction in purchasing and service costs at PSRIPL

- To evaluate and ensure the documentation of import and exports of the unit are of the quality required.

- To finalize all commercial contracts relating to commercial aspects of operations such as bagging, FG handling, warehousing, loading, unloading, stacking, canteen, security etc.

- To lead the stores team in ensuring the issues are taken care of and to maintain the stores inventory with budgeted norms

- To analyze various aspects of the company's import and export performance, both in terms of the financial and business impact.

- Risk Management: - To constantly review systems and processes to mitigate the risks of leakage, under insurance, inefficient purchase etc.

- Environment Management: - To interact with the external (Development Commissioner - VSEZ, Customs, Service Tax, Local authorities, Kakinada Sea Ports, Vendors, Service providers etc.) and Internal (Other functions) environment to ensure smooth functioning of the unit and the commercial team in the internal context.

- To develop subordinates by mentoring and drawing up development plans in conjunction with the head office.

- Self-Development: - Develop oneself as a Commercial Head to be in a position to discharge higher responsibility. This includes developing appraisal skills

- Provide perspective of commercial to other functions and advise on commercial related matters

- Participate in key initiatives of the unit like Project, Unit plan etc
