So, the Large BU and Washing Machines category specifically is playing an extremely important role for Flipkart currently and we are set for an exciting and high-growth H2-2020! - Flipkart recently revamped its end-to-end buying experience for Appliances by helping customers easily discover, shortlist and purchase them. This innovative one-stop-shop now offers everything you need to shop confidently for TVs, washing machines, refrigerators, ACs and other small home appliances - the value and convenience of online shopping, as well as reliable post-purchase benefits such as warranty and installation. - As you can imagine, the end-to-end pre-purchase experience is very important for Appliances - given the high-value purchase and complex product features. - These categories also have a higher purchase cycle. Hence, targeting the right in-market audience and creating the best purchase funnel experience to educate, assist and enable their purchase is extremely critical for the category's success - which is the role of the category merchandiser! In this stint, you would own Merchandising & Traffic for the Washing machines business, a ~$200Mn business. Expected Outcome : Key Responsibilities of the role : - Build a very deep understanding of the customer, online buying behavior, means to drive purchases leading to satisfaction of the core values of the TG - Own the customer experience in the category and with product and experience teams lead the vision - Building key engagement constructs that make Flipkart a research and purchase destination for the category - Build the most effective and efficient marketing and outreach channels to customer to both acquire and retain them - Own traffic targets for the category across internal (search/merchandising/reco), CRM (PN/SMS/Email) and external (SEO/SEM/Perf/Digital) channels - Work with marketing to identify the best initiatives to build awareness and encourage trial across channels - Develop and execute merchandising plans to showcase the right products, provide inputs to platform discovery algorithms - Constantly help evolve the platform to reduce barriers for customers / provide them with what they want
