Client - BFSI (International Banking Client)

Major Duties - 

Responsible for managing a business systems group on various business applications and projects, including conducting the performance management process and providing input for staffing and disciplinary actions. Consults with business group and systems partners to determine requirements and identify alternative solutions and act as solution architect where it is needed. Responsible for time and cost estimates, implementation of new or revised application system, application upgrade and hardware requirements, docket prioritization, and related budget considerations

Knowledge/skills

- Responsible for all business systems and end user computing implementation projects and production support.

- Advanced knowledge of financial industry operations is required in order to direct system implementation projects.

- Knowledge of programming languages (especially SQL and VBA), various business applications(Reporting), and various design and programming techniques, usually obtained by related work experience and completion of a four year degree in Business, Finance and/or Computer Science, is required to direct systems projects and resolve business problems.

- Strong communications, analytical and problem solving skills are required for project management and implementation.

- Leadership and organizational skills are required to determine the units goals, resources needed, and to assess and develop the skills of the staff.

Major Duties - 

- Manages a business systems group. Conducts the performance management process including evaluating and enforcing performance standards. 


- Provides input for hiring and disciplinary actions, and provides hands-on training to staff.

- Develops periodic goals, organizes the work, sets short-term priorities, monitors all activities, and ensures timely and accurate completion of the work.

- Consults with technology, product management, and operations to determine the most effective solutions to solve business problems or address business needs.

- Interacts with technology, product management, and operations to formulate and implement solutions to enhance existing services, create new client deliverables, or improve processes.

- Identifies impact of changes and processes on staff; facilitates acceptance of change through training and communication.

- Manages all phases of a project life cycle including development of business requirements, docket prioritization, securing resources, development of test strategy, test plans and test cases, and development of an implementation plan that incorporates change control.

- Reviews with vendor software package contracts with the information systems group. Communicates with various business areas and outside vendors, consultants, and clients regarding automation needs.

- Ensures compliance with all audit requirements including change control procedures and data security.

- Supervise Partner and their project release and ensure its reviewed before Prod Release

- Supervise system and its maintenance and coordinate with vendor/in-house tech team

- Capacity Planning - Both FTE vs Projects vs System Capacity vs Business

- Benefit Planning - Reviewing and Assessing all the Projects and adhering to Intake Governance

- Monitor and support production activities in multiple technical environments, including some on-call support

- Monitor Design, develop, and implement production reports

- Represent Business Systems during key meetings and Project Calls.

- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast paced environment

- Effective Employee Engagement

- Meeting Partners regularly and ensuring skip level is conducted.

- Other duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE/Skills Required

- The ideal candidate will have experience of managing teams, implementing development and succession plans for all levels, and will display effective communication and coaching skills.

- The ability to contribute to the overall department strategic, tactical and budget objectives and initiatives would be beneficial

- Analytical and problem solving skills is required

- Leadership and organizational skills are required to develop periodic goals and to manage and motivate team members towards the goals set

- Excellent oral and written communication is skills required.

- Tech Savvy

- Minimum of 10 Year of experience in which 6 Years as People Manager and managing techno functional team(s).
